1850 Mortality Schedule
Jersey County, Illinois

Enumerated by Jona(than) Plowman and located on pages 353,356,357, 359 and 362 of the original census schedule on microfilm. Note: This was the time era of the Cholera epidemic and Jersey County sure had its share. The cause of death isn't listed, in order to save on web page space, but if anyone is interested, please email kaylorma@insightbb.com and I will send it. If you see several surnames of families whose death dates were the same month/year, you can bet it was due to cholera. It seems to have wiped out several families including a couple of physicians.

COLUMNS (separated by comma's):
Name of Deceased, Age, Sex, Marital Status, Nativity, Date of Death, Occupation
